Sobre mí:

Soy profesora de inglés y focalizadora de Danzas Circulares del Mundo. Desde que conocí la Comunicación Noviolenta en 1996, mi pasión por esta propuesta me inspira y me convoca para participar y organizar diferentes eventos para continuar aprendiendo y expandiendo la CNV.

En la actualidad (2006) formo parte de un grupo de práctica semanal junto con algunos de los miembros de La Red Argentina de CNV. También escribo mensualmente, en inglés, sobre mi visión de la CNV en la Alternative Language Learning Newsletter una newsletter electrónica que envío a docentes que he formado en la implementación de una metodología holística en la enseñanza del idioma inglés. 

A través de mi rol de focalizadora de Danzas Circulares del Mundo,  estoy explorando la integración de la propuesta corporal, musical, simbólica y comunitaria de las rondas con la comunicación empática.

Mi historia con la CNV:

Conocí la Comunicación Noviolenta en 1996 durante una conferencia de SEAL, Society for Effective and Affective Learning, en la Argentina. Luego participé de un grupo de práctica de CNV en la Fundación Findhorn (Escocia) durante los tres meses en los que trabajé y estudié allí (1999-2000). Falicité grupos de exploración de CNV para padres y alumnos en IACA Holistic English Institute (2001). Dí charlas introductorias de la CNV a padres y maestros en la Escuela Las Lengas (Ushuaia 2002), en Londres Escuela de Inglés (Villaguay 2005), en Cotidiano Mujer (Montevideo 2005). Participé de un curso de aprendizaje coordinado por Alejandra Bello y organicé y asistí a talleres para profesores de inglés sobre habilidades de la comunicación y CNV dictados por Fany Lea Limanski (2003), Julián Lichtmann (2005) y Nanne Lotzkat (2006). También he participado como presentadora en el Foro de Educación para la Paz (Pilar 2004) con un taller inspirado en la CNV.

Participé como estudiante y colaboré activamente con Gert Danielsen en la organización de los talleres y encuentros de CNV  durante la visita de Dominic Barter a Buenos Aires en Octubre de 2005.

Formación y experiencia académica

Además de mi formación superior, ejercicio de la docencia y desarrollo de material educativo para la enseñanza del idioma inglés en todos los niveles – desde la enseñanza inicial a la universitaria.-  he cursado carreras de postgrado y he trabajado como docente en Lingüística Aplicada. Me he desempeñado como formadora de formadores y he desarrollado una metodología holística de enseñanza de idiomas que me ha llevado a dictar cursos, talleres y conferencias en la Argentina, Brasil, Chile, España, Escocia, Méjico y Uruguay. En la actualidad (2006) trabajo como docente de Didáctica de Inglés en el Instituto Argentino-Europeo de Formación Docente Comenius, en Buenos Aires.

Mi comprensión de la Comunicación Noviolenta: Introducción a la CNV.
Durante este encuentro María Marta Suárez describe esta propuesta de comunicación para que  los participantes tomen contacto con  sus principios básicos. Ellos lo ejercitan  a través de ejercicios y role-plays lo que les facilita su posterior aplicación en situaciones de la vida real.

Mi compresión de la Comunicación Noviolenta: Feedback Afectivo y Efectivo.
Durante este taller los participantes tienen la posibilidad de dar y recibir feedback empáticamente. Con la conciencia de que el feedback es una herramienta poderosa que afecta  la dimensión total de cualquier sistema, los participantes son invitados a experimentar, a través de ejercicios, como el feedback afectivo y efectivo puede afectar las relaciones interpersonales incrementando así, la creatividad, la amistad y el aprendizaje exitoso dentro de las instituciones educativas.

Mi compresión de la Comunicación Noviolenta: Alfabetización Emocional.
En la creencia de que las relaciones interpersonales dentro de los miembros de las instituciones educativas son tan importantes como la currícula escolar, este taller invita a los participantes a explorar la alfabetización emocional y el espectro de opciones disponibles para que ellos logren una conexión empática consigo mismos y sus interlocutores. También exploraremos como esta conexión, enriquecida por la alfabetización emocional, puede ayudar a que la comunidad educativa desarrolle una actitud cooperativa institucional.   

Danzas Circulares: Una evidencia, con movimiento y emoción, de que podemos construir mas empatía con nuestros cuerpos que con mil palabras.

Te espero para danzar melodías de diferentes tradiciones de la mano de amigos actuales y futuros. Prueba la magia del sentido de comunidad y la comprensión profunda que surge de un círculo cuando el cuerpo se manifiesta através de movimientos simples y creativos mientras todos te apoyan desde el círculo. Con el movimiento y la música permite a tus emociones salir a la luz mientras exploras tus necesidades y celebras el cálido abrazo de la danza circular.

Comuníquese con los niños...  desde el Corazón.
En este encuentro los participantes experimentan una propuesta de comunicación respetuosa y cuidadosa  que les dará herramientas para interactuar co-operativamente y afectivamente con los niños.

Los participantes harán role-plays para ejercitar situaciones que pudieran acontecer en la escuela y en el hogar y explorarán como pueden inspirar a los niños para actuar responsablemente y aprender con autonomía.

¡Prepárate para enfrentar la música! (Taller para docentes co-creado con Fany Lea Limanski, dirigido a docentes).
Explora tu paisaje interno para mejorar tu relación con tus alumnos y contigo mismo. Durante este taller descubrirás los temas que te han quedado pendientes y que surgirán, muy probablemente, cuando trabajes con tus grupos. También explorarás algunas de las herramientas que te permitirán manejar estos temas para que encuentres el poder de crear una atmósfera armoniosa y efectiva en tu trabajo con grupos.

 About myself:
I am a teacher of English as a foreign language and a Circle Dance Focalizer.  Ever since I became acquainted with NVC back in 1996, I have felt inspired to participate and organize different events to continue learning this approach.

 At present, (2006), I am part of a group that meets weekly to practise NVC. Some of the people in the group are part of The Argentine NVC Network. I also write about NVC, in the ALL Alternative Language Learning Newsletter  for teachers I have trained to teach English following a holistic approach. 

As a Circle Dance focalizer, I am exploring integration of the physical,

the musical, the symbolic and the communitarian aspect of circle dancing with empathic communication.

My history with NVC
I became acquainted with NVC during a SEAL -Society for Effective and Affective Learning - Conference in Argentina back in 1996. I participated in an NVC practice group at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland during the three months I studied and worked there (1999-2000). I facilitated groups of exploration of NVC for parents and students at IACA Holistic English Institute (2001); I led talks to introduce NVC to parents, students and teachers at Escuela Las Lengas (Ushuaia, 2002), at Londres Escuela de Inglés (Villaguay, 2005), and at Cotidiano Mujer (Montevideo, 2005). Workshops by María Marta Suárez on Nonviolent Communication 

My understanding of NVC: Introduction to the Principles of NVC.
During this workshop María Marta describes the principles of this approach in communication. Participants are able to try it out through exercises and role-play and find tools which help them start to use this model in real life situations right after the workshop.  

My understanding of NVC: Feeding with Healthy Feedback.
During this workshop participants have a hands-on experience on how to give and receive feedback empathically. With the awareness that feedback is a powerful tool that affects the overall dimension of any system, participants are invited to experience how effective and affective feedback can improve interpersonal relations thus boosting creativity, friendship and successful learning.

My understanding of NVC: Emotional Literacy.
In the belief that the relationship built among the members of an educational community is as important as the school curricula, this workshop is an invitation to explore the participants’ emotional literacy and a range of linguistic and attitudinal choices available to help them achieve a higher level of empathic connection with themselves and their interlocutors. They also explore how this empathic connection, enriched by emotional literacy, can empower the members of the educational community to develop a cooperative attitude towards one another and towards their community as a whole.

Circle Dance: A moving evidence that we can build more empathy with our bodies than with a thousand words.

Join me and dance to the melodies of different traditions hand in hand with friends and friends-to-be. Experience the magic of the sense of community and the deep understanding that arises in a circle where the body manifests itself through simple creative movements while being supported by everyone else in the circle. Move and allow your e-motions to emerge while exploring your needs and while celebrating the warm embrace of the dancing circle.

Communicate with Kids... Straight from the Heart.
In this session participants will experience respectful and caring communication skills that will give them tools to interact co-operatively and affectionately with children.

Participants will role-play situations likely to take place at school or at home and will explore how they can inspire kids to be self-responsible and autonomous learners.

Explore your own inner landscape to improve your relationship with your students and yourself! During this workshop you will discover the issues inside you that are likely to come up when you work with groups. You will also explore some of the tools that will allow you to handle these issues to empower you to create a harmonious and effective atmosphere in your class.
